Why we created the Tutors International Mentorship Programme
Tutors International has been providing private tuition to families around the world for more than 25 years, and during this time we’ve seen thousands of young people flourish due to the benefits of exceptional tutoring and mentorship.
As a passionate advocate of education, CEO and Tutors International founder, Adam Caller, wanted to extend this opportunity and support more students to reach their full potential, regardless of their personal circumstances.
Our goal is to help these young people with exceptional aptitudes fulfil their aspirations and grow their fortitude. It has been an honour and a delight to support our mentees and a privilege to see them gain new skills and achieve such outstanding results.
Meet mentees, Nampet and Tobias…
The difference our support has made can be seen in the experiences of students like Nampet and Tobias.
Nampet has spent four years in the programme, using the tailored support to excel academically and explore her ambitions. Reflecting on her experience, she said,
“I’m grateful to be part of the Tutors International Mentorship Programme, which enabled me to accept a place at a wonderful private high school. The programme has made such a big difference. It’s given me so many opportunities to grow in areas I love, like ballet and art, while also helping me build confidence in new areas like business and presenting my ideas."
Tobias, a mentee since 2019, began his journey with Tutors International through a unique opportunity: sponsorship of his voyage with School at Sea. This experience ignited his interest in engineering and developed essential skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
Building on this foundation, the programme has since supported Tobias in accessing specialised resources and workshops to further his dream of a career in aeronautical engineering.
"Being part of this programme has helped me think more clearly about my future. It’s opened up opportunities I didn’t think I’d ever have, and it’s really made me believe I can achieve my dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer."
What we’re looking for in a mentee
The Tutors International Mentorship Programme is looking for high-achieving students who:
- Show exceptional promise in academics, the arts, sports, or other fields.
- Display commitment, determination, and the drive to succeed.
- Face financial challenges, and could benefit from access to life-changing opportunities.
